A: Yes, After reading the instruction that comes with the Vinyl Mate you will be cutting vinyl in Minutes, its that easy.

Q: Do I have to us the repositionable spray adhesive to hold down the vinyl.

A:      No, you can tape one side of the vinyl then pull it tight and tape the opposite side provided that you are laying the vinyl on a smooth piece of material. You may need to use a higher z height when jogging in order to clear any slight bowing in the vinyl. The repositionable adhesive is recommended because it assures that the vinyl will lay flat and it  makes it easier to position the next piece of vinyl. The smooth material that you use to cut the vinyl on can be used over and over again, when you need to cut wood or any other material just simply remove it and store it where there's not to much dust.

Q: How long will a knifeblade last.

A: The life of a knife will depend on the quality of the blade and also the type of material that  you are cutting. E.g. with a good quality knife, cutting standard 2 mil vinyl, the knife should cut approximately  600’of 15” vinyl or 80 hours of continuous cutting.

Q: What speeds can I cut at with the Vinyl Mate

A: Speed depends on what material you are cutting and how thick it is. e.g. when cutting sandblast stencil speeds may be slower than if you where cutting 2 mil vinyl. Generally you can use any speed that you are comfortable with .

Q: Do I have to adjust the vinyl mate each time I use it.

A: No, once you have it set you rarely need to adjust it. The only time you will have to readjust the vinyl mate is if you cutting a thicker material or changing to a new, or different knifeblade. When you are finished cutting vinyl , just leave the blade in the Vinyl Mate and store it in the box it came in. The next time you need to cut vinyl just simply insert it in the collet on you router, tighten and your ready to cut.
